Buffer Solution

Buffer Solution

The Buffer Solution is a no-nonsense buffer pedal that helps to preserve the strength of your guitar signal.

Essentially, a buffer takes a high impedance signal and converts it to a low impedance signal which helps restore your signal to its full strength as it runs through all of your pedals and through long lengths of cable. When you add this in your pedal chain, you'll notice the high end of your signal will return too if you’re having issues with impedance.

Many pedals are wired as true bypass, and while true bypass is the most "pure" way of bypassing a pedal, it also introduces switches and wiring that your signal has to pass through to get to the next pedal in your chain. Wire and guitar cables, even good quality ones, introduce about 30 picofarads of capacitance per foot, so the more wire and cable your signal has to pass through, the weaker your signal gets.

We know that a buffer probably wouldn't be the most exciting pedal on your board, but sometimes you NEED one. You may not even realize it! We wanted to keep this pedal small and practical. There are no knobs to fiddle with, and there is no switch to turn it on and off. Just plug in your power supply and input/output cables, and you're good to go. Be aware that some pedals, specifically vintage fuzz pedals, do not play well with buffers. In those situations just put the buffer after those pedals.
